Aconite:
Cold: Beneficial for the first stages of common cold, sneezing, runny drippy nose, clear, hot, watery nasal discharge. Burning, sensitive throat. Throbbing headaches. Roaring in ears.
Colic: Helpful for colic with gas, wants cold water
Cough/Croup: Useful for croup. Constant short, dry cough. Sudden onset during night, after exposure to cold, dry winds, awake after midnight with anxiety & croupy, barking cough
Dental Problems: Helpful for fear of treatment
Earache: Useful for external ear when painful, swollen, red, and hot. Sensitive to noise. Frantic with pain
Eye: Helpful for first-aid for eye injury to diminish inflammation and relieve pain. Scratch on cornea. Eyes feel dry, hot & sandy. Adverse to light. Eyes red, inflamed, watery.
Fever: Useful for fever with sudden violent onset, after exposure to cold, dry wind. Restlessness.
Fright: Helpful for someone who is fearful, or with bad effects of fright
Headache: Useful for heavy, throbbing, bursting pain in the head. Sensation of fullness in forehead. Sensation of band around head. Feels as if hair were pulled or stood on end. Dizziness, worse on rising. Eyes feel dry, hot & sandy. Adverse to light. Eyes red, inflamed, watery.
Surgery: Use before surgery for the fearful anticipation.
Urinary Problems: Helpful for bladder Infections. Painful urination. Anxiety at start of urination. Urine scanty, hot, red. Sudden retention of urine from chill or fright.

Apis:  provides soothing relief for swelling, edema, burning & stinging pains. Keep on hand for first-aid treatment. Itching and swelling of insect bites, bee stings, wasp, hornet, mosquito, and other flying insects.
Use for rashes that have red, swelling marks like insect bites, such as with hives.
Rosy red hives from allergy from food, bites, etc. Use for sunburn. Itchy skin conditions. Apis mell helps with swelling from insect bites or allergies.
Apis for symptoms of redness, swelling, stinging, pain, itching.
Sudden edema whether over the entire body or specific areas.
Eye symptoms such as swollen eyelids, edema under the eyes, sties, watery eyes, red conjunctiva, thick cornea, having dark, smoky, spots- grayish, smoky, opaque.
Sore throat with dryness, feels hot, swollen, difficulty swallowing, without thirst.
Ailments that show the symptoms above will respond to Apis, such as fevers, eyestitis, measles, mumps, flu, tonsillitis.

Arnica:  Most common first aid for all injuries. It helps reduce shock, relieve pain, diminish swelling and begin healing. Arnica is a great remedy for injuries to muscles, and also when there is pain from over exertion. It removes bad effects of shock from injury, prevents septic conditions and works well for mechanical injuries  received even years previously.

Arnica is also the best medicine before and after surgery ( before and after dental surgery, labor, etc... ).

Common conditions for use: Shock or trauma of injury, surgical shock, muscle injuries, pains due to over exertion, concussions and contusions. Sore, lame, bruised feeling/pain all over the body as if it has been beaten, before and after surgery.

Chamomilla:
Children: Useful for teething with irritability, pain, diarrhea. Colic, earache. Overly sensitive to illness and pain. Snappy and contrary, yet likes being carried. Child feels hot, is worse with heat and in the evening up to midnight. When ill, one cheek is red and hot, the other cheek seems paler and cool.
Colic: Helpful for colic with gripping gas pains, flatulence, distended abdomen, better with legs drawn up.
Diarrhea: Useful for diarrhea during dentition. Watery, slimy stools, like "chopped eggs and spinach".
Earache: Helpful for earache with pain that seems unbearable. Worse with heat. Ears feel as if they are plugged up

Female: Useful for females with menses that are clotted, dark blood. Pains are cramping, colicky. Pain extends to thighs, back and chest. Breast are tender, swollen. pain is intolerable.
Fever: Helpful for fever with irritable, ugly temper, cantankerous, can't be pleased. One cheek is red and hot, the other pale and cold.
Glands: Useful for swollen glands.
Insomnia: Helpful for restlessness in infants, children, woman.
Mental: Useful for impatient, restless, irritable, snappish mental states. Whining, moaning when they don’t get their way. Child can only be quieted when carried or held. Extremely sensitive to pain, wants relief NOW. Angry, especially if spoken to or looked at. Asks for things, then refuses them. Impatient, Angry.
Pain: Beneficial for intolerance of pain, fainting and/or sweating from pain

Gelsemium:
Cold: Use for colds with constantly runny noses. Sneezing. Sense of fullness at base of nose, dull headache & fever.
Flu: Helpful for flu with coldness with chills up and down back, body aches and pains and exhaustion, neck and shoulder muscles are sore. Sleepless, but very fatigued, weary, eyelids, head, limbs feel heavy. Great trembling & weakness of all limbs, muscles feel bruised. Dull, heavy backache. Tiredness of whole body with least exertion. Unrefreshed sleep and fatigue with limbs weak and trembling.
Headache: Headaches with a dull heavy ache, like a band about head, vertigo, dizzy, eyelids feel heavy. Sore neck and shoulder muscles. Useful for headache with heaviness & sensation of band around head. Pain at back of head, radiating towards forehead, neuralgia, migraine, headaches due to spinal misalignment. Muscular soreness of neck and shoulders. Scalp sore to touch. Relieved by copious urination.
Heat Exhaustion: Helpful for heat exhaustion with extreme weakness. Headache with bursting sensation in forehead and eyeballs or sensation of band around head. Extreme heaviness of eyelids.
Mental: Emotionally Gelsemium can help with apprehension before an event, being with other people, going to the doctor, before a performance. Help for depression following an unsettling experience. Useful for mental state of apprehension. Gelsemium helps with anticipation accompanied by weakness, trembling, fuzzy thinking, or dizziness. Hypericum: Excellent remedy for injuries to nerves (pain along nerve course) or body parts which are richly supplied with nerves (for example, crushed, mashed finger tips or toes, or spinal concussion), and sensitive  injured parts with sharp and shooting pains. Hypericum is also good for old injuries to nerves which still seem to bother the person.

Common conditions for use: Injuries to nerves, backaches after surgery with spinal anesthesia, and lacerated injured/inflamed nerves.

Ledum: Useful for puncture wounds from sharp pointed instruments like needles or a nails. Ledum is also commonly used for insect stings, especially from mosquitoes, and animal bites. It is helpful in healing wounds and preventing tetanus, and relieves localized nerve pains. It is also useful for patients with severe bruising ( black eyes or blows from firm objects), especially if the affected part feels cold yet relieved by cold applications.

Common conditions for use: Puncture wounds, insect bites.

Nux Vomica:
ASTHMA: Helpful for attacks that often follow stomach upset with much belching. Oppressed breathing with shallow respiration

COLDS: Useful for early stages of colds. Stuffy cold. Attacks of sneezing or sore throat. Nose runs during day and stopped at night. Sniffles of infants.
CONSTIPATION ALTERNATING WITH DIARRHEA: Corrects frequent, ineffective urging to stool. "Something left behind". To help relieve the laxative habit
COUGHS: Helpful for dry, Tight, hacking, or tickling cough with sore throat and chest. Sensation that coughs tears something loose in chest. Coughing spells. Cough brings on a bursting headache. FLU: Useful for the inability to get warm; shivering, especially after drinking. Chilly from least movement under covers. Cramping pains.
HEADACHE: Helps with "Hangover headache," from over-indulgence in rich food or drink. Splitting pain in back of head or over eyes, as if nail driven in. Frontal pain, desire to press head against something. Scalp sore to touch. Headache in sunshine. Associated with stomach problems
HEMORRHOIDS: Useful for itching that is relieved by cool bathing
INDIGESTION: Useful for sour and bitter belching. Bloating of abdomen few hours after eating. Heartburn. Overindulgence in rich food, coffee, liquor
INSOMNIA: Helpful for insomnia that occurs after mental strain, or with thoughts of day's work. Cannot sleep after 3:00a.m. until morning; wakes feeling miserable.
MENTAL: Useful for irritability, impatience, oversensitivity to noise, light, touch, odors. Workaholics with sedentary life style.
NAUSEA: Helpful for constant nausea, sour burping.
PREGNANCY: Help for nausea of pregnancy. Stops morning sickness that occurs from just certain foods or smells. Indigestion or vomiting.

Rhus Tox: Good for pains from spraining or straining a single part, muscle or tendon.  Can also be used for bruises, and lameness after sprains, especially of wrists and ankles.  Rhus Tox is ideal for pains which are aggravated by initial motion, but better upon continued motion.  It is also given for dislocated joints.
